4-Day Lake Naivasha & Masai Mara Authentic Kenya Safari

Nairobi to Lake Naivasha

You'll depart Nairobi in the morning and drive through the Great Rift Valley with scenic viewpoints en route to Lake Naivasha. You will have a brief stop in Mai Mahiu to view the Great Rift Valley. On arrival, you'll proceed to Hell’s Gate National Park for a guided walking safari and optional cycling experience. This is one of the few parks in Kenya where you can explore on foot, walking among dramatic gorges, cliffs, and plains, with wildlife such as zebras and gazelles. After the tour, you'll head to the lodge for check-in and lunch.

You will enjoy lunch at a lodge by the lake, and the rest of the afternoon will be relaxation or an optional boat ride to see hippos and birdlife.

Lake Naivasha to Masai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, you'll depart for the iconic Masai Mara National Reserve, arriving in time for lunch at your camp or lodge. In the afternoon, you'll head out for your first game drive across the rolling plains, home to lions, elephants, cheetahs, giraffes, and vast herds of herbivores.

You'll return to camp around sunset. At night after dinner, you'll gather around a bonfire under the African sky or retire to your room for a restful night.

Masai Mara National Reserve

Today, you can have an optional balloon safari, which can be arranged at an extra cost. After breakfast, you will depart the lodge with a packed lunch and have a full day's drive in search of the Big Five and other wildlife. At around midday, you'll take a break and have lunch under an Acacia tree. After lunch, you'll continue with game drives. You will also have an optional Masai village visit. In the late afternoon, you will return to the lodge. After dinner, you can unwind by the bonfire, sharing safari stories, or retreat to your room for the night.

Departure to Nairobi

After breakfast, you'll depart the Masai Mara and drive back to Nairobi. Upon arrival, you will enjoy a complimentary farewell lunch at the famous Carnivore Restaurant, renowned for its unique “Beast of a Feast” dining experience.

After lunch, you will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight, marking the end of a memorable Kenyan safari.
