Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, we will drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a full day of game drives. This is one of Tanzania’s smaller parks, but it still offers a rewarding and diverse safari experience. This national park is one of Tanzania’s most dramatically situated wildlife areas, consisting of a massive but shallow soda lake (covering two-thirds of the park) at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment.
The park’s varied habitats attract a wide variety of animals, including one of Africa’s largest concentrations of elephants, as well as large flocks of flamingos drawn by the algae in the lake. The lake shore at Manyara teems with birdlife, and while you are looking for the birds, you might spot one of the elusive, unique tree-climbing lions. There are a surprising number of other large mammals, and the striking cliffs on the Rift escarpment form a dramatic backdrop.

Day 3
Lake Eyasi
Lake Eyasi
After breakfast, we go hunting at Lake Eyasi. Lake Eyasi is a picturesque creation of the Great Rift Valley. The lake shore is home to the Hadzabe and Datoga tribes, who completely differ from each other.
The Hadzabe people were nomads in the past. They lived by hunting and gathering, and little by little, they had settled in this region. Their skill of survival in a wild world is extremely high, and, of course, the ability of archery exceeds all expectations.
In turn, the Datooga people were always occupied with cattle breeding and land farming. They were driven to Lake Eyasi by other tribes with superior weapons and numerical superiority. Being far away from the developing world, the Hadzabe and Datooga people lived in a wild state and could retain their way of life. Because of this, we can immerse ourselves in the atmosphere of primal African life and even go hunting with the tribes.

Lake Eyasi - Ngorongoro Crater - Serengeti
Today, the safari adventure turns south and continues to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and once one of the 7 Wonders of the World (6 hours, 180 km). We will descend 600m into this magnificent crater for a full-day game drive.
The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most densely crowded African wildlife areas in the world and is home to an estimated 30,000 animals, including some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhino. Supported by a year-round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro National Park supports a wide variety of animals, including herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephant. Another big drawcard of this picturesque national park is its large population of predators, including lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard.
We will enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor. After lunch, we will drive to Serengeti National Park, where we will spend the night.

Lake Natron is a surreal destination and a unique natural spectacle. Its waters are highly alkaline and are unusually shallow, averaging just one meter in depth. After checking into your lodge and a short break, put your walking shoes on as a Maasai tribesman takes you on a walk around the shores of Lake Natron on the lookout for birds, especially the lesser flamingos.
Lake Natron is the most important and regular breeding site for lesser flamingos in East Africa, hosting up to 2 million of them during the breeding season. The majority of egg-laying and hatching takes place from September to January. After the hike, you will head back to Africa Safari Lake Natron for a well-deserved dinner and rest.
