You will be collected from your hotel in Dar es Salaam and transferred to the airport for your scheduled flight to Kigoma.
Upon arrival, you will be driven to Ujiji Village to visit the historic Dr. Livingstone Memorial. Thereafter, you will proceed to Kibirizi Port to board your boat to Gombe National Park.
On arrival at the park, you will be escorted to the rest house for a hot lunch before setting out on your chimpanzee trekking experience through the rolling hills and lush forests of western Tanzania. After the trek, you will return to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2

Trekking in Gombe National Park
Today marks your unforgettable adventure of tracking the mountain chimpanzees in the spectacular Gombe Mountains. After an early breakfast, park rangers will provide a detailed briefing on trekking guidelines and safety procedures before you begin your journey into the forested slopes.
The trek can last up to eight hours in the wild, but every moment is rewarding. You will hike through dense forests, climb rolling hills, and descend into valleys a journey that can be physically demanding, so being well prepared is essential.
Once a chimpanzee group is located, you will pause to observe these remarkable primates at close range. Watch them groom one another, forage for food, and interact naturally within their forest home. Standing just meters away from wild chimpanzees is truly one of the rarest and most extraordinary wildlife experiences in the world.
After this intimate encounter, you will make your way back along the trail to your lodge.

Day 3
Drive to Kigoma Town

On the third day, you will have breakfast before heading out for another chimpanzee trekking experience, exploring different valleys within the park. Guided by rangers, you will walk through the forest trails in search of chimpanzees while enjoying the diverse landscapes of Gombe.
During the trek, you will also visit the scenic Mkenge Waterfall, a peaceful spot surrounded by lush vegetation. Around midday, you will drive to the lodge for lunch and some relaxation.
In the late afternoon, you will pack your belongings and transfer by boat back to Kigoma Town. Upon arrival, you will be taken to your hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4

After an early morning breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to the airport for your scheduled flight back to Arusha. As you depart, you will carry with you unforgettable memories of chimpanzee encounters, forest adventures, and the breathtaking beauty of western Tanzania.
Upon arrival in Arusha, this will mark the end of your remarkable safari experience, leaving you with stories and moments to treasure for a lifetime.
