After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters in Volcanoes National Park for a comprehensive pre-trek briefing by experienced rangers. You will then set out on a guided golden monkey trek through the lush bamboo forests, where you will observe these rare and lively primates in their natural habitat, offering excellent photography opportunities.
After the trek, return to your lodge for lunch before embarking on a scenic cross-border drive into Uganda. Proceed to the renowned Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, arriving in the evening for check in and relaxation at your lodge as you prepare for the next adventure.

Encountering the gorillas quietly camouflaged within the lush vegetation is an awe inspiring and deeply privileged experience. Gorilla tracking in Bwindi demands a reasonable level of fitness and patience, as the trek can be challenging and may take several hours, depending on the gorillas’ movements.

This is an excellent opportunity to spot wildlife you may have missed earlier, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, and a variety of bird species active in the cool morning hours. The expansive savannah and crater landscapes provide rewarding sightings and stunning scenery.
Return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation before heading out for an afternoon boat cruise along the famous Kazinga Channel. The cruise offers close range views of hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and abundant birdlife along the shores. Later, return to your lodge for dinner and a restful evening.

In the afternoon, embark on a guided chimpanzee trek through Kibale’s lush tropical rainforest, home to over 1,500 chimpanzees. Spend an unforgettable hour observing these playful, intelligent primates as they swing through the trees, groom one another, and communicate naturally. Along the trail, you may also encounter red colobus monkeys, L’Hoest’s monkeys, and a rich diversity of bird species. After the trek, return to your lodge for dinner and a restful overnight stay in Uganda’s renowned primate capital.

Afterward, you may either transfer back to Kigali, enjoying scenic views along the way, or proceed directly to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight. For added convenience, optional domestic flights of approximately one hour can be arranged at an additional cost.
