After breakfast at your hotel in Kigali, meet your professional driver guide for a meaningful visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial, a moving tribute honoring the victims of the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi. Thereafter, depart northwest toward Volcanoes National Park, enjoying a scenic drive through Rwanda’s rolling emerald hills, vibrant market towns, and beautifully terraced farmlands that define the country’s landscape. Begin the day with an early transfer to the Kinigi Park Headquarters in Volcanoes National Park for a comprehensive briefing before setting out on a guided golden monkey trek. Venture into the bamboo forests and spend an unforgettable hour observing these rare and energetic primates in their natural habitat.

After the trek, enjoy an enriching cultural visit to the Gorilla Guardians Village, where traditional dance, music, and craft demonstrations offer insight into local heritage. Continue to the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund to learn about ongoing mountain gorilla conservation efforts.

Enjoy an early breakfast before transferring to the park headquarters of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for a detailed pre trek briefing. Accompanied by experienced ranger guides and trackers, venture into the dense rainforest in search of a habituated mountain gorilla family. Once located, spend a magical hour observing their social interactions and gentle behavior from a safe distance of 10 meters, an unforgettable wildlife encounter.

After the trek, proceed to Lake Bunyonyi, one of Uganda’s most scenic lakes, surrounded by terraced hills and dotted with islands. Relax and unwind amid tranquil views and abundant birdlife.
