Your 8 days Rwenzori trekking & uganda wildlife experience will begin with our guide picking you up from the Airport or your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala and transfer to Murchison falls national park via Kampala-Luwero-Masindi route with a stop over at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary to track Rhinos. Rhono tracking activity will take you about 2 hours.
There after proceed to Murchison falls national park via top of falls experience or for an evening game drive depending on time of arrival in Murchison falls national park.

Day 2
Early morning game drive, afternoon boat cruise on the Nile

Have breakfast by 6am and thereafter proceed to the wilderness in search of the early morning raisers, the morning game drive starts at about 6:30am, look out for animals such as; the giraffes, lions, hyenas, water bucks, elephants, buffalos, antelopes- many species of birds such as; egrets, ibis, shoebill stock, marabou stock, king fisher, egrets to mention but a few. As you have your game drive, you may relax and have a picnic on the river bank as you listen to the groans of the Hippos.
Have an afternoon boat cruise which is spectacular as it allows you to get up close to the aquatic animals such as; the hippos, crocodiles, water bucks, buffalos, elephants etc. Among the birds commonly sited on the boat cruise include the goliath heron, king fisher, weaver birds, bee eater, cattle egrets and the beautiful scenery along the bank. Return to the boat station for transfer back to the lodge.

Check out of your accommodation in Murchison falls national park and transfer to Kibale forest national park
The drive from Murchison falls national park to Kibale forest park takes 6-7 hours driving through the Hoima to Fort portal highway.
You will enjoy views of the rift valley escarpment around Lake Albert and beautiful scenery along the way to Kibale Forest national Park.
Relax and have an overnight stay in Kibale while enjoying the breathtaking views of the forest and birdwatching.

Day 4

After an early breakfast, report to the park headquarters with your packed lunch for a briefing by the senior park guide. Proceed to track man’s closest relative of all the apes in this vast forest. Encounter other primates like olive baboons, bonobos, red colobus monkeys, black-and-white colobus monkeys, red and blue monkeys, and grey-cheeked mangabeys. You will also see a wide variety of birds.
After successful tracking exercise, Embark n transfer to queen Elizabeth national park with an enroute lunch break incase of no packed lunch box. Retire for overnight at your lodge.

Day 5

Take a 6:30 am game drive to catch up with the early risers like the leopard, lion, and spotted hyena among others. The park has a diverse ecosystem of grassland plains, tropical forests, rivers, swamps, lakes and volcanic craters. This makes it home to an incredible abundance of wildlife.
As you take the Kasenyi trail, look out for buffalos, elephants, giraffes, warthogs, kobs, waterbucks, bushbucks, duikers, etc. You can also expect to see magnificent birdlife that includes the martial eagle, the woodland kingfisher, the great blue turaco, and the grey plantain eater. Up to 606 species have been recorded in the park. Return to the lodge for a late breakfast.
After lunch, go for the afternoon launch cruise on the Kazinga Channel. This is home to a variety of waterbirds like the African fish eagle, skimmer, pelican, and the pre-historic-looking shoebill. On a hot day, hippos, elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks and crocodiles can be seen as they bathe and drink at the water's edge.

Wake up early morning and enjoy your breakfast by 7:00am, depart for Bwindi impenetrable national park through Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth national park.
This connecting route allows you to encounter more views of animals like elephants, antelopes, olive baboons, with high chances of spotting leopards or lions in this sector.
After exiting the park, drive through Kanungu communities on a marram road and finally continue to Bwindi impenetrable park for your overnight stay.

Gorilla Trekking and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Breakfast at 6:30 am and proceed to the park headquarters by 7:30 am for a briefing from the park rangers. Ensure to carry along a rain jacket, drinking water, snacks, and ankle-high jungle boots.
The park rangers will allocate different gorilla families which you will track. Besides the gorillas, other animals such as antelopes, bush pigs, chimpanzees, baboons, and elephants can also be seen. The park is home to about 350 bird species. Take your lunch boxes and all the necessary gear to track the rare mountain gorillas. This is perhaps one of the most exciting wildlife experiences on earth.
When you finally get to meet the gentle giants, remember: About 1 hour of tracking time, 5m distance, no contact, no running away in case of attack, and no flash photographs as silverbacks or dominant males may not like it.
Proceed to Lake Bunyonyi, a home to over 29 islands with unique history awaiting for your relaxation and perhaps a canoe boat experience.

Day 8
Transfer to Entebbe
Transfer to Entebbe
After breakfast walk towards the northern end of Lake Bunyonyi to the stunning Ruvuma swamp. One of the finest destinations to appreciate birds like the papyrus yellow warbler.
Thereafter, transfer back to Kampala or Entebbe. This will mark the end of your 4 Days Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable and Lake Bunyonyi tour. As Bujuku Eco Tours we wish you back a safe journey/Flight home.
