Northern Serengeti National Park game drive

Serengeti National Park (Northern Region) is a remote and scenic wilderness known for its dramatic landscapes and abundant wildlife. This area is famous for river crossings during the Great Migration, when thousands of wildebeest and zebras brave the crocodile-filled Mara River. Rolling savannahs, rocky kopjes, and acacia woodlands provide habitat for lions, leopards, elephants, and cheetahs. Less crowded than central areas, Northern Serengeti offers a more exclusive safari experience with breathtaking views and year-round game viewing opportunities.

Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater

The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest inactive, intact volcanic caldera, located in northern Tanzania. Formed about 2–3 million years ago after a massive volcanic eruption and collapse, it spans about 260 km² and is 600 meters deep.

It is part of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The crater hosts diverse wildlife, including lions, elephants, rhinos, buffalo, and flamingos around Lake Magadi.

The area is also home to the Maasai people, who live and graze livestock alongside wildlife.
