Arrival in Nairobi and Transfer to Amboseli National Park for Afternoon Game Drive

You will be picked up from your Nairobi accommodation in the morning and driven south through scenic Kenyan countryside to Amboseli National Park. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge or camp, enjoy lunch, and relax before heading out for your first afternoon game drive. The open plains of Amboseli provide excellent wildlife viewing, especially large herds of elephants, giraffes, zebras, and predators like lions. Sunset photography with Mount Kilimanjaro as a backdrop completes the day, followed by dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Full Day Exploring Amboseli National Park with Morning and Afternoon Game Drives

Begin the day with an early morning game drive, when animals are most active and the light is perfect for photography. After returning to the lodge for breakfast, you can rest or join an optional walking safari with your guide (where permitted). The afternoon is reserved for another game drive to maximize wildlife sightings and explore different areas of the park. Amboseli is famous for its elephant herds and birdlife, providing diverse photographic opportunities. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, depart Amboseli and drive through the dramatic landscapes of the Great Rift Valley toward Lake Naivasha. Arrive in the afternoon and check into your lodge. The afternoon is free for optional activities, including a boat ride on Lake Naivasha to observe hippos, fish eagles, and other birds, or a guided walking safari on Crescent Island, where you can see giraffes, zebras, and antelopes up close.
