Day 1

You will be picked up directly from your hotel in Zanzibar and transferred to the historic waterfront of Stone Town to begin your guided full-day cultural and island excursion. From here, enjoy a scenic boat ride across the turquoise waters to Prison Island, where you will explore the historic prison ruins and learn about the island’s fascinating past as a quarantine station. Meet and photograph the famous giant Aldabra tortoises and enjoy time to relax on the beach. Optional snorkeling is available for an extra cost. After returning to Stone Town, continue with a guided walking tour through its UNESCO-listed streets, vibrant markets, and cultural landmarks including the former slave market and the iconic Old Fort. An optional local lunch is available for an extra cost. At the end of the excursion, you will be transferred back and dropped off at your hoteL.
