Day 1

Today, after meeting your driver, you will head to Tarangire National Park. The drive takes about 2–2.5 hours, and your adventure begins as soon as you enter the park! On this exciting safari, you’ll have the chance to see herds of elephants, prides of lions, and a variety of other fascinating wildlife.

A delicious lunch will be served during the day, after which your safari exploration continues. In the evening, you’ll be transferred to a budget lodge in Mto wa Mbu for an overnight stay.

Day 2

Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

Today, it’s best to start early so you can catch the animals that are most active in the morning. After enjoying breakfast, you’ll embark on a full-day adventure in one of the world’s most remarkable natural wonders.

At 6:30 am, you’ll set off for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, and within about an hour, you’ll descend into the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater. This famous park is renowned for having the highest concentration of wildlife per square kilometer in Tanzania. Here, you may spot buffalo, elephants, lions, wildebeests, zebras, hippos, and elusive cats like caracals and servals. With some luck, you might even see the rare black rhino that calls this sanctuary home.

Around lunchtime, you’ll stop at a scenic picnic site for a delicious meal before continuing your safari. By evening, your game drive concludes, and you’ll be transferred to Arusha for your overnight stay.

Day 3

Kilimanjaro Hike

Your day trip to Mount Kilimanjaro begins early, around 5:00 am from Arusha (or even earlier to avoid traffic). Depending on your hotel’s location, the drive to the park takes approximately 1.5–2.5 hours. After an early breakfast, you’ll set off with your guide to Kilimanjaro National Park and start your exhilarating day hike.

The hike will take you up to the vast Shira Plateau at 3,600 meters, a 500,000-year-old volcanic caldera and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, you can enjoy a scenic lunch stop, or continue exploring Shira 1 Camp, Lion Gorge, and the foothills of the Shira Pinnacles. From this vantage point, you’ll be treated to stunning views of Kilimanjaro’s iconic snow-capped Kibo Peak and its neighboring glaciers.
