Stone Town & Prison Island Tour

We can pick you up at Zanzibar International Airport, the Ferry Terminal, or your hotel to start this tour. Our guide will warmly welcome you and brief you about the activities ahead.

You will enjoy a scenic drive to Stone Town, the historical heart of Zanzibar, for a guided walking tour in the UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its rich Swahili culture and history.

You'll walk through narrow alleyways filled with shops, cafes, and vibrant local life as you visit key landmarks such as the House of Wonders, Old Fort, Sultan's Palace, Darajani Market, and Freddie Mercury’s House.

After about 2 hours of the Stone Town tour, you'll enjoy a local Swahili lunch and then hop on a boat to the Prison Island, also known as Changuu Island. This is a historic islet off Zanzibar with giant Aldabra tortoises, turquoise waters, coral reefs, and ruins of a former prison and quarantine station.

Later, you will proceed to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.

Spice Farm Tour and Cooking Class

You'll enjoy breakfast, then depart for a Spice Plantation Tour, where you’ll learn about Zanzibar’s centuries-old spice trade. Touch, and taste spices like cloves, nutmeg, vanilla, and cinnamon, as well as tropical fruits, and Learn about their traditional uses in medicine, cooking, and cosmetics.

Afterwards, you'll join a hands-on Zanzibari cooking class in Stone Town, where you explore local markets, select fresh spices and seafood, and learn to prepare authentic Swahili dishes. Discover the rich flavors of the Spice Island and enjoy your homemade meal by the Indian Ocean. You'll enjoy the Swahili food cooked for lunch.

After lunch, you will depart for your beachfront resort and unwind by the ocean. Relax at the pool, enjoy the sea breeze, or take a sunset walk along Nungwi Beach.

Dolphin Tour & Snorkeling at Matemwe Beach

You'll set off at sunrise for a dolphin tour along the crystal-clear waters of Matemwe Beach, where playful dolphins glide through the Indian Ocean.

Afterwards, you will continue to the stunning reef of Mnemba Island for snorkeling in vibrant coral gardens teeming with tropical fish. You'll relax on pristine white sands, swim in turquoise waters, and soak in the beauty of Zanzibar’s northeast coast.

After delicisious lunch, you will head back to your beachfront resort and unwind by the ocean. You'll relax at the pool, enjoy the sea breeze, or take a sunset walk along Nungwi Beach.

Beach Relaxation & Departure

You'll relax by the pool or pamper yourself with a spa treatment at the hotel.

You will check out of the hotel and transfer to Zanzibar Airport or the ferry terminal for your international or domestic departure.

Depending on your flight time or travel plans, optional activities at an extra fee include: snorkeling, reef walks, Asalaam cave, Baraka Cave, or a visit to Jozani Forest.
