Day 1

After arriving at Arusha or Kilimanjaro Airport, you will be met by your guide and transferred (2–3 hours) to Tarangire National Park, famous for its huge elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. The afternoon is spent on your first game drive, where you may also spot giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, impalas, and a variety of birds. Tarangire is known for its quieter, less crowded safari experience compared to Serengeti, allowing you to enjoy wildlife at a relaxed pace.

As the sun sets over the savanna, you will check in at your lodge or tented camp near the park, enjoying dinner and your first night surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness. This day sets the tone for the rest of your safari adventure.

Day 2

After an early breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in Tarangire to catch any wildlife you might have missed the previous day. Then, drive 2–3 hours to Lake Manyara National Park, a park renowned for its unique combination of lake, forest, and savanna habitats.

Spend the afternoon on safari exploring the park. Lake Manyara is famous for its tree-climbing lions, large flocks of flamingos (seasonal), baboons, hippos, and hundreds of bird species. The park’s compact size makes wildlife easily visible, and the scenery of forests meeting the lake shore is breathtaking.

Return to your lodge near the lake for dinner and overnight stay, enjoying the peaceful surroundings and preparing for the next day’s journey to the Serengeti.

After an early breakfast, drive to the world-famous Serengeti National Park. The journey is long but scenic, building excitement as you approach the park. Seeing the Serengeti for the first time is unforgettable – its name means “endless plains.” Covering 6,900 sq. miles (18,000 sq. km), vast plains stretch to the horizon.

Home to the Great Migration, it hosts millions of wildebeest, thousands of zebras, and many antelope species. Predators like lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hyenas roam here. Many wildlife documentaries have been filmed in this iconic park.
