Depart Arusha early morning and drive northwest through Maasai villages and the dramatic landscapes of the Great Rift Valley. The terrain gradually becomes more rugged and volcanic as you approach Lake Natron, one of Tanzania’s most unique and remote destinations.

After lunch at the lodge, enjoy a guided walk to the Ngare Sero Waterfalls through narrow rocky gorges. Later, explore the shores of Lake Natron, breeding ground for thousands of flamingos. After early breakfast, depart Serengeti and proceed to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend 600 meters into the crater floor for a half-day game drive in one of Africa’s most wildlife-dense environments.

Expect high chances of seeing lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, zebras, and possibly the endangered black rhino. Enjoy picnic lunch at the hippo pool before ascending the crater rim and continuing to Karatu for overnight.

Lake Eyasi Cultural Experience

Early breakfast followed by departure to Lake Eyasi for a cultural immersion experience. Meet the Hadzabe tribe, one of the last remaining hunter-gatherer communities in East Africa. Join them on a bush walk to learn about traditional hunting techniques, food gathering, and survival skills.

Later, visit the Datoga (Datooga) tribe, known for blacksmithing and pastoral traditions. Experience authentic cultural interaction and gain insight into their daily life and customs. Return to Karatu in the afternoon.
