Enjoy your breakfast then depart Aberdare and travel north to Samburu National Reserve, a semi-arid wilderness along the Ewaso Nyiro River. The landscape shifts dramatically to open plains, acacia woodland, and rugged hills. Samburu is renowned for rare northern species often referred to as the “Samburu Special Five,” including the Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, gerenuk, and Beisa oryx. Game drives along the river reveal elephants, lions, leopards, and large crocodiles basking on the riverbanks. The cultural presence of the Samburu people adds a rich traditional element to the experience, with optional village visits offering insight into their pastoral way of life. You will arrive in time for lunch, have a brief rest and then embark on your evening game drive. After a successful game drive, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Depart the lodge early morning for your guided game drive in search of wildlife like the lion, cheetah, Leopard, giraffes, gazelles, zebras, ostrich among others. Slow down and enjoy your breakfast in the bush as you take in the fresh air, continue with your game drive until noon. Return to the lodge for lunch and rejuvenation as you wait for the evening game drive. In the evening, depart the lodge and roam the park in search of the animals and birds that you could have missed. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Have your breakfast, check out and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. This compact yet wildlife-rich park is famous for its rhino sanctuary, protecting both black and white rhinos. Game drives around the alkaline lake may reveal flocks of flamingos and pelicans lining the shores, as well as Rothschild giraffes, lions, and buffalo roaming the surrounding woodlands. The scenic viewpoints overlooking the lake provide excellent photography opportunities and panoramic views of the Rift Valley escarpment. Exploring Masai Mara National Reserve

Enjoy a full day of exploration within the reserve. An early morning game drive offers the best opportunity to spot predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs when they are most active. After breakfast, you continue searching for wildlife across the rolling plains, with a picnic lunch served in the bush near the Mara River, where hippos and crocodiles are commonly seen. If traveling between July and October, you may witness the dramatic Great Migration, when thousands of wildebeest and zebras cross the river in search of greener pastures. In the afternoon, you can visit a traditional Maasai village to experience local culture and learn about their customs and way of life at an extra cost. You then return to your camp for dinner and relaxation under the star-lit African sky.
