Your journey begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe. You will travel westwards through Uganda’s scenic countryside, passing rolling hills, tea plantations, and vibrant local communities.
The drive to Kibale Forest National Park takes approximately 5–6 hours. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge and have some time to relax and settle in.
In the evening, enjoy a visit to the local tea plantation, where you will learn about tea growing and processing while exploring the lush plantations surrounding Kibale. You will have the opportunity to interact with local tea farmers and experience the beauty of Uganda’s tea-growing region.
After the experience, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay, surrounded by the peaceful atmosphere of the forest.

Day 2
Chimpanzee Trekking & Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary

After breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing before entering the enchanting Kibale Forest, Uganda’s primate capital. With an experienced guide, follow forest trails in search of habituated chimpanzee families. Listen for their calls and watch as they swing through the treetops. Once located, enjoy one unforgettable hour observing their playful interactions and fascinating social behaviour in their natural habitat.
Return to the lodge for lunch and some relaxation.
In the afternoon, visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a beautiful community-managed conservation area. Walk through lush wetlands in search of colourful birds, monkeys, butterflies, and other wildlife. Along the way, learn about local conservation efforts and how tourism supports surrounding communities.
Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park, enjoying a scenic 3–4 hour drive through Uganda’s beautiful countryside. Along the way, make a stop at the Equator for a memorable photo moment, where you can stand in both hemispheres and capture a special moment from your journey.
In the afternoon, enjoy a memorable boat safari along the Kazinga Channel. Watch elephants and buffalo gather at the water’s edge, hippos relax in the shallows, and crocodiles bask along the banks. Keep your camera ready for the many colorful bird species around the channel, Optional evening game drive before returning to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Wake up early for a magical game drive through the Ishasha plains, one of Uganda’s most enchanting and wild landscapes. As the morning mist lifts across the golden savannah, keep your eyes open for elephants, buffalo, Uganda kobs, and other wildlife moving through the plains.
Ishasha is especially famous for its tree-climbing lions. With a little luck, you may spot them resting high in the branches of fig trees, overlooking the endless plains below—a truly unforgettable African safari moment.
After your game drive, continue towards Bwindi Impenetrable National Park – Rushaga Sector, travelling through beautiful highlands and local communities. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge, relax, and prepare for tomorrow’s once-in-a-lifetime gorilla trekking adventure.

Gorilla Trekking & Transfer to Kisoro

Following an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing before stepping into the ancient Bwindi Impenetrable Forest in search of your gorilla family. The trek can last 1–6 hours, taking you through lush vegetation and sometimes steep terrain—every step bringing you closer to one of Africa’s most extraordinary wildlife encounters.
When you finally come face-to-face with the gorillas, enjoy one unforgettable hour watching these gentle giants in their natural habitat. Observe their playful young ones, powerful silverbacks, and close family bonds as they go about their daily lives. It is a deeply moving experience you will remember long after leaving the forest.
After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch before continuing to Kisoro. Enjoy the breathtaking scenery as the landscape transforms into rolling green hills and dramatic mountain views.
