Addis Ababa – Awash National Park

Depart in the morning and drive east through the Great Rift Valley, passing acacia woodlands and open plains. Upon arrival at Doho Lodge, relax in the lodge’s natural hot and cold spring pools while enjoying sweeping views of the Awash landscape.
In the late afternoon, set out on a game drive around the lodge and inside the park. As golden light spreads across the savannah, look for Beisa oryx grazing quietly, graceful gazelles darting across the plains, troops of baboons along the roadside, and warthogs moving through the grass. The park’s riverine forest and open woodland are alive with colorful birdlife, creating a perfect sunset safari atmosphere.

Aledeghi Wildlife Reserve – Return to Addis Ababa

After an early breakfast, drive to the vast savannah of AliDege Wildlife Reserve. The open, semi-arid plains provide excellent visibility for wildlife viewing. Track herds of Grevy’s zebra with their striking stripes, elegant Beisa oryx standing alert against the horizon, and Soemmerring’s gazelles moving swiftly across the landscape.
