Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, transfer to Kikuletwa (Chemka) Hot Springs. Enjoy a refreshing swim in crystal-clear turquoise waters surrounded by lush vegetation before overnight stay in Arusha.
This hidden geothermal oasis, locally known as Chemka, is a natural spring fed by underground streams from Mount Kilimanjaro. The warm, mineral-rich waters are perfect for relaxation after your journey. You can float beneath overhanging fig trees, swing into the water from ropes, or simply unwind along the shaded banks while enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. Depart for Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. Enjoy a full-day game drive spotting lions, giraffes, zebras, and diverse birdlife.
As you enter the park, the landscape opens into vast savannah dotted with iconic baobabs and acacia woodlands. The Tarangire River, a vital water source especially during the dry season, attracts impressive concentrations of wildlife, making game viewing exceptional. You may witness large elephant families moving gracefully across the plains, buffalo gathering near the riverbanks, and predators such as lions or leopards resting in the shade. This compact yet diverse park offers an incredible variety of ecosystems within a small area. As you pass through the lush groundwater forest, you may encounter troops of baboons, blue monkeys, and elephants moving quietly beneath towering mahogany and fig trees. The open grasslands and acacia woodlands provide excellent opportunities to spot giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and buffalo.
