Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and one of Africa’s most unique wildlife areas. The crater floor forms a natural enclosure that supports a high concentration of animals year-round, making game viewing easy and rewarding. Visitors can see the Big Five, including the rare black rhino, as well as lions, elephants, buffalo, hippos, hyenas, zebras, and wildebeests. The central area features open grasslands, acacia forests, and the Lerai Forest, which is known for elephant bulls and leopards.
