Arusha to Serengeti National Park

Your safari begins with a morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha or Kilimanjaro Airport. You will travel in a comfortable 4×4 safari vehicle with a professional guide, enjoying scenic views of the Tanzanian countryside along the way.

Upon arrival in the Serengeti National Park, you will embark on your first afternoon game drive. The Serengeti is world-famous for its vast plains and abundant wildlife, and you may encounter zebras, giraffes, elephants, and lions as you traverse its iconic landscapes.

After an exciting afternoon of wildlife viewing, you will check into your mid-range lodge or tented camp, relax, enjoy dinner, and spend your first night under the African sky.

Central Serengeti to Karatu

Day two begins with a full-day game drive in the heart of the Serengeti. Your guide will take you to the best spots to observe wildlife, from prides of lions to herds of elephants, giraffes, and zebras. You will enjoy a picnic or lodge lunch during the day while keeping an eye out for the Big Five.

In the late afternoon, you will leave the Serengeti and drive to Karatu, a charming town at the foothills of the Ngorongoro Highlands. The journey offers scenic views of the Tanzanian countryside and small villages along the way.

On arrival in Karatu, you will check into your mid-range lodge or tented camp, have dinner, and rest for the night in preparation for the Ngorongoro Crater adventure the next morning.

Ngorongoro crater to Arusha

On your final day, you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the most spectacular wildlife destinations in Africa and a UNESCO World Heritage site. The crater floor is home to a dense concentration of animals, including lions, elephants, hippos, and flamingos at the seasonal lakes.

Your guide will help you spot as many species as possible while explaining the fascinating ecology and history of the area. After a morning of game viewing, you will begin the scenic drive back to Arusha, arriving in the afternoon for drop-off at your hotel or Kilimanjaro Airport. This concludes your 3-day safari, leaving you with unforgettable memories of Tanzania’s iconic wildlife and landscapes.
