Day 1
Nairobi to Masai mara
Nairobi to Masai mara
The safari begins with a morning departure from Nairobi, traversing the Great Rift Valley. The descent into the valley offers panoramic views of the Suswa and Longonot dormant volcanoes. The journey continues into the Masai Mara, a northern extension of the Serengeti ecosystem characterized by rolling grasslands and acacia woodlands.
Upon arrival and after a midday meal, the group embarks on an afternoon game drive. The Masai Mara is globally recognized for having one of the highest densities of terrestrial wildlife. This initial drive focuses on the "Big Four" (lion, leopard, elephant, and buffalo), as the Mara is particularly famous for its large prides of lions and elusive leopards that frequent the riverine forests along the Mara and Talek Rivers.

Full Day Exploration of the Masai Mara
Full Day Exploration of the Masai Mara
This day is dedicated to a deep immersion into the reserve. A full-day game drive allows the group to reach the Mara River, the site of the dramatic Great Migration crossings between July and October. Even outside of migration months, the river is home to large pods of hippopotami and some of Africa’s largest Nile crocodiles.
The open savannah of the Mara facilitates excellent visibility for spotting cheetahs, which utilize termite mounds as vantage points for hunting. In the evening, an optional visit to a Maasai boma (village) provides cultural insight into the semi-nomadic pastoralist lifestyle of the Maasai people, who have coexisted with this wildlife for centuries.

Day 3
Masai mara to lake nakuru
Masai mara to lake nakuru
Following an early morning "sun-up" game drive to catch predators while they are still active, the tour departs the Mara for Lake Nakuru National Park. This transition moves from the vast plains to the floor of the Rift Valley. Lake Nakuru is a shallow alkaline lake that was the first in Kenya to be established as a rhino sanctuary.
The afternoon game drive at Nakuru is the best opportunity to complete the "Big Five" by spotting the rhinoceros. The park supports both the grazing White Rhino (Ceratotherium simum) and the more reclusive, browsing Black Rhino (Diceros bicornis).] Additionally, the park is a haven for the endangered Rothschild’s giraffe and serves as a premier birdwatching destination, often hosting thousands of Lesser and Greater Flamingos that feed on the lake's algae.

Lake Nakuru to Nairobi
Lake Nakuru to Nairobi
After an early breakfast, spend the morning exploring Lake Nakuru National Park, a world-renowned birdwatcher’s paradise where you can witness a vibrant pink carpet of flamingos among over 350 recorded bird species, including pelicans and cormorants. This park serves as a vital sanctuary for the protection of endangered species; it is one of the premier locations in East Africa to track both the black and white rhinoceros in their natural habitat.
As you traverse the acacia woodlands and rocky escarpments, keep a sharp lookout for the rare Rothschild’s giraffe, the majestic leopard, and the arboreal black-and-white colobus monkeys. The park also hosts a variety of plains game, including waterbucks, buffaloes, and impalas. You will depart for Nairobi. Enjoy a picnic lunch en route as you ascend the escarpment, arriving in the city in the late afternoon for a drop-off at your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) in time for your departure flight.
