Nairobi to Amboseli national park

Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel or the airport in Nairobi. After a short briefing by your professional driver-guide, you depart for Amboseli National Park, driving through the scenic Kenyan countryside with views of rural villages and vast savannah landscapes. The journey takes approximately 4–5 hours, with a short stop along the way for refreshments.
You arrive at the lodge in time for check-in and lunch, followed by some time to relax and enjoy the lodge facilities. In the afternoon, head out for another game drive, exploring the park’s open grasslands, swamps, and seasonal lake beds which attract a wide variety of wildlife and birdlife. As the sun begins to set, the scenery becomes even more magical with golden light illuminating the plains and the silhouette of Kilimanjaro in the distance.

Return to the lodge in the early evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Amboseli morning and afternoon game drive

After an early morning wake-up call, enjoy breakfast at the lodge before setting off for a morning game drive, the best time to spot predators such as lions or hyenas before the heat of the day sets in. The morning light also offers excellent photography opportunities with elephants walking across the dusty plains while Mount Kilimanjaro rises majestically in the background.
Return to Amboseli Sopa Lodge for lunch and relaxation during the hottest part of the day. In the afternoon, depart for another extensive game drive, visiting some of the park’s best wildlife viewing areas and scenic viewpoints. Amboseli’s relatively flat terrain makes wildlife easier to spot, offering excellent chances to observe elephants up close, often moving in family groups led by matriarchs.

Later in the evening, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere of the African wilderness.
