Day 1

Arusha – Tarangire National Park – Karatu

Your safari begins with a morning departure from Arusha, driving toward Tarangire National Park. This park is famous for its large herds of elephants, majestic baobab trees, and the Tarangire River, which attracts many animals during the dry season. Upon arrival, you begin a game drive exploring the park’s vast savannah and riverine habitats. Wildlife commonly seen includes elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, lions, and many bird species. A picnic lunch will be served inside the park at a designated site. In the afternoon, you continue with the game drive before leaving the park and driving to Karatu for dinner and overnight at Kankari Lodge.

Day 2

Karatu – Ngorongoro Crater Safari – Karatu

After breakfast, you depart for Ngorongoro Conservation Area and drive up to the crater rim. From there, you descend approximately 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for a spectacular wildlife safari. The crater floor supports a dense population of wildlife, including lions, buffalo, elephants, hyenas, zebras, and the endangered black rhino. You will also visit Lake Magadi, a shallow soda lake often filled with flamingos and other water birds. A picnic lunch is enjoyed near the hippo pool. In the afternoon, you ascend the crater and return to Karatu for dinner and overnight at Kankari Lodge.

After breakfast, you travel to Lake Manyara National Park for your final game drive. Located beneath the dramatic cliffs of the Great Rift Valley escarpment, the park offers diverse habitats including forests, open grasslands, and an alkaline lake. The park is known for its large troops of baboons, elephants, hippos, and an impressive variety of birdlife, including flamingos and pelicans. After the game drive and lunch, you exit the park and begin the return journey to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon for drop-off at your hotel or the airport.
