Day 1

Arusha – Tarangire National Park – Karatu

Your safari begins with a morning departure from Arusha, driving southwest toward Tarangire National Park. Upon arrival, you start a game drive through the park, famous for its vast savannah landscapes, giant baobab trees, and high concentration of elephants. The Tarangire River attracts many animals, making it an excellent place to observe wildlife, including giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, lions, and numerous bird species.
You will enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park while surrounded by the natural beauty of the area. In the afternoon, continue with the game drive before leaving the park and driving to Karatu for dinner and overnight at Kankari Lodge.

Day 2

Karatu – Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

Karatu – Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

After an early breakfast, you drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and ascend to the crater rim. From here, you descend approximately 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. The crater floor hosts an incredible concentration of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, and the endangered black rhino.
During the safari, you will visit Lake Magadi, a shallow soda lake often visited by flamingos and other water birds. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed near the hippo pool before continuing the game drive.
In the afternoon, you ascend the crater and begin the return journey to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon for drop-off at your hotel or the airport.
