After an early breakfast, depart for an exciting Okavango Delta day trip, travelling into one of Botswana’s most remarkable wilderness areas. Upon arrival, board a traditional mokoro, a dugout canoe traditionally used by local communities to navigate the Delta’s shallow waterways.
Glide quietly through the crystal-clear channels, surrounded by papyrus, reeds and abundant birdlife. Your experienced poler will guide you through the waterways while pointing out wildlife and explaining the unique ecosystem of the Okavango Delta.
Continue with a guided bush walk on one of the Delta’s islands. Accompanied by an experienced local guide, explore the wilderness on foot and learn to identify animal tracks, plants and signs of wildlife. Depending on conditions, you may encounter elephants, giraffes, antelope, zebras and a variety of bird species.

Driving from Elephant Sands Lodge to Victoria Falls is a long but scenic journey through the heart of Botswana and into Zimbabwe, offering glimpses of rural landscapes and wildlife along the way.
You depart Elephant Sands early in the morning after breakfast, heading northeast toward the town of Kasane, the gateway to Chobe National Park. The drive takes you through open savannah where wildlife can be spotted.
Once in Kasane, you clear customs and border formalities as you cross into Zimbabwe. From the border, the drive continues for about an hour through lush landscapes until you reach Victoria Falls.
Arriving in Victoria Falls, you are welcomed by your lodge or hotel, where you can check in and refresh after the long journey. Depending on your timing, you may have a short afternoon to relax or enjoy a light activity such as a stroll through the town, a sundowner cruise on the Zambezi River, or a first glimpse of the majestic Victoria Falls.
