Your safari guide will pick you up from your hotel or the airport in Entebbe early in the morning for the journey to Kibale National Park in western Uganda. The drive takes you through beautiful countryside landscapes with rolling hills, tea plantations, and traditional villages along the way.
You will have a stopover for lunch in Fort Portal town, a charming area known for its cool climate and views of the Rwenzori Mountains. After lunch, continue to your lodge near the forest and check in.
In the afternoon, enjoy a community experience around Kibale. This visit gives you the opportunity to interact with the local people, learn about their daily life, traditional farming practices, and cultural activities. You may visit a local homestead, see how coffee is prepared from bean to cup, and experience the warm hospitality of the community living near the forest.

Day 2
Chimpanzee Trekking and Transfer to Bwindi Forest

After an early breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters for a briefing before starting your chimpanzee trekking adventure in Kibale National Park. Guided by experienced rangers, you will walk through the tropical rainforest searching for chimpanzees while spotting other primates, birds, and forest wildlife.
Once the chimpanzees are located, you will spend an hour observing them as they play, feed, and move through the forest canopy. It is an incredible experience to watch these intelligent primates in their natural environment.
After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch and then begin the scenic drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The journey passes through rolling hills, tea plantations, and rural communities before reaching the dense rainforest of Bwindi in the evening.

Day 3
Gorilla Trekking and Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Today is the highlight of your safari. After an early breakfast, you will head to the park headquarters in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park for a briefing about gorilla trekking.
Accompanied by experienced guides and trackers, you will hike into the forest in search of a habituated gorilla family. The trek may take a few hours depending on the location of the gorillas, but the moment you meet them is truly unforgettable. You will spend one magical hour observing the gorillas as they interact, feed, and care for their young.
After this once-in-a-lifetime encounter, return to the lodge for lunch and later transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. The lake is famous for its scenic beauty with small islands scattered across calm waters and terraced hills surrounding it.
Relax at the lodge and enjoy the peaceful views of the lake.

Day 4

After breakfast, enjoy a relaxing canoe boat ride on Lake Bunyonyi. This peaceful activity allows you to explore some of the lake’s beautiful islands while learning about local history and culture.
After the canoe experience, begin the return journey to Entebbe. You will have a stop for lunch along the way and another stop at the Equator for photos and souvenirs before continuing to Entebbe.
You will be dropped off at your hotel or at the airport for your onward flight, marking the end of your unforgettable Ugandan primate adventure.
