Arrival in Arusha Transef to Tarangire national park
Tarangire is particularly famous for its elephant population, where visitors can often see large family groups moving across the savannah. The park is also home to a wide variety of animals including lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, wildebeests, and several species of antelope.
In addition to its wildlife, Tarangire is a paradise for bird lovers, with over 500 species of birds recorded in the park. The landscape features open grasslands, seasonal swamps, river valleys, and scattered baobab trees that create a unique and beautiful environment.
Because it is less crowded than some other parks in Tanzania’s northern safari circuit, Tarangire offers visitors a quieter and more authentic safari experience while still providing excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing.

Ngorongoro Crater to Depature
The crater floor supports an incredible concentration of wildlife, making it one of the best places in Tanzania to observe animals in a relatively small area. Visitors can encounter lions, elephants, buffalo, zebras, wildebeests, hyenas, and various species of antelope. Ngorongoro is also one of the few places where the endangered black rhinoceros can still be seen in its natural habitat.
The landscape within the crater is diverse, featuring grasslands, swamps, small forests, and Lake Magadi, which attracts flamingos and other bird species. Beyond its wildlife, Ngorongoro is culturally significant as it is home to the Maasai, who continue to live and graze livestock within the conservation area.
