Situated at the foothills of Mount Meru, Arusha is a vibrant town and the main gateway to Tanzania’s famous northern safari circuit. After your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your driver-guide who will accompany you throughout the safari. During the transfer to your lodge, you will get your first glimpse of local life, bustling markets, and scenic landscapes that surround the town. Once at the lodge, take time to relax after your journey, enjoy the peaceful garden surroundings, and perhaps take a short walk around the property. In the evening, your guide will provide a detailed safari briefing, explaining the itinerary, wildlife highlights, and travel tips for the days ahead.

Drive to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most scenic wildlife destinations, famous for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees that dominate the landscape. Upon arrival, enjoy an exciting game drive through the park’s diverse habitats, including open savannah, river valleys, and acacia woodlands. Tarangire is known for its high concentration of wildlife, especially during the dry season when animals gather along the Tarangire River, the park’s main water source. During the game drive you may spot elephants, giraffes, lions, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, and various antelope species. Upon arrival, enjoy a guided hike through the village and tropical forest trails leading to the impressive Materuni Waterfall, where crystal-clear water cascades down a high cliff into a refreshing natural pool. Along the way, your guide will share insights about local plants, farming practices, and the traditions of the Chagga people who live in this region. After the hike, take part in an authentic Chagga coffee experience where you will learn how coffee is traditionally grown, roasted, and prepared by hand.
