Day 1

Arusha

Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK), you will be warmly welcomed by your professional safari guide and driver who will be waiting for you at the arrival area holding a sign with your name. After a short introduction and assistance with your luggage, you will begin your transfer to your hotel in Arusha.

During the drive, your guide will give you a brief introduction to Tanzania, the safari program ahead, and useful information about the local culture and environment. The journey to Arusha town offers beautiful views of the surrounding landscapes and, on clear days, you may even catch a glimpse of Mount Meru or Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance.

Once you arrive at your hotel, you will check in and have time to relax after your journey. If your arrival time allows and you feel comfortable after the flight, you may enjoy a short Arusha town tour with your guide. This optional visit can include exploring the local markets, visiting craft shops.

Walking Safari Experience

One of the most special activities in Arusha National Park is the guided walking safari. Unlike many other parks in Tanzania where safaris are mainly done by vehicle, Arusha National Park allows visitors to explore certain areas on foot while accompanied by a professional guide and an armed park.
The Momella Lakes attract a large variety of birdlife, including flamingos, pelicans, herons, and many other water birds, making the area a paradise for bird watchers and photographers. Wildlife such as giraffes, zebras, and antelopes are also commonly seen grazing near the lakes

Arusha National Park is also famous for its monkeys, especially the rare Black-and-white colobus monkey.
