Gorilla trekking and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
Gorilla trekking and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
Start your day with an early breakfast, then pick up your packed meals for the trek, if it lasts longer. The trekking experience will start with a briefing at the park offices. You will then head to the trekking starting point and enter the forest. As you search for the allocated gorilla family, the walk through the forest is a pleasant experience, evoking the untouched feel of the rainforest.
When you spot the gorillas, you will stay with them for up to one hour. This is a precious time for you to watch them and get firsthand information on how they spend most of their time: mostly feeding and relaxing. It is amazing how they play together and live closely in their families.
From here, you will pick your trekking certificates from the offices and head to Bunyonyi for your next stay. Upon arrival, you will check in to your lodge and relax.

This adventure is one of the most enjoyable things you will do in Uganda, as it rewards you with stunning views of the islands on the lake, the terraced hills around the lake, and the Virunga volcanoes in the distance. The history and stories about the islands are not only interesting but also a piece of knowledge about the way of living of the local people in the region.
