Your safari begins with a morning departure from Nairobi as you head west toward the legendary Masai Mara National Reserve, one of Africa’s most celebrated wildlife destinations.

The journey descends into the Great Rift Valley, where a scenic viewpoint offers spectacular panoramas of escarpments and vast valleys stretching into the distance.

Continuing across the Maasai plains, you’ll arrive at the reserve in time for lunch at Zebra Plains Mara Camp, a beautiful tented camp located in a wildlife-rich area of the reserve.

After settling in, your first afternoon game drive introduces you to the magic of the Mara. Herds of zebra and wildebeest graze across the plains while giraffes stride between acacia trees. Lions are often spotted resting in the grass as the sun begins to set.

Later, return to camp for dinner and your first night surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.

Full Day Big Five Safari in Masai Mara

Today is dedicated to exploring the extraordinary wildlife of the Masai Mara, widely regarded as one of the best safari destinations in Africa.

An early morning game drive begins just after sunrise, when predators are most active. This is the best time to search for lions returning from a hunt, elusive leopards resting in trees, or cheetahs scanning the plains.

After breakfast back at the camp, continue exploring different regions of the reserve. The Mara’s rolling grasslands support remarkable concentrations of wildlife including elephants, buffalo, hyenas, jackals, and numerous antelope species.
