Your 3-day Tanzania camping safari begins with an early morning departure from Arusha toward the world-famous Serengeti National Park, one of Africa’s top wildlife destinations. The journey takes you through the beautiful Ngorongoro Conservation Area, offering stunning views of the highlands and Maasai villages along the way. After arriving at the Serengeti gate, enjoy an exciting afternoon game drive across the endless plains that make this park legendary. The Serengeti is home to abundant wildlife including lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and cheetahs. Depending on the season, you may witness part of the Great Migration, where thousands of animals move across the savannah. In the evening, arrive at your Serengeti public campsite where your safari chef prepares dinner. Relax under the African night sky and listen to the sounds of the wild.

Day 2

Start your day early with a sunrise game drive in Serengeti National Park, one of the best times to see predators when they are most active. As the sun rises over the plains, you may spot lions hunting, cheetahs scanning the horizon, and large herds of elephants and zebras grazing across the savannah. The Serengeti offers excellent opportunities to see the Big Five wildlife of Tanzania. After a rewarding morning safari, return to the campsite for brunch before continuing with another game drive en route toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enjoy incredible scenery as you travel through the Serengeti ecosystem toward the crater highlands. Arrive at the Ngorongoro Crater rim campsite in the evening, where you can enjoy dinner prepared by your safari cook and breathtaking views over the crater before resting for the next day’s adventure.

Day 3

After an early breakfast, descend into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, often called one of the Seven Natural Wonders of Africa. This massive volcanic caldera is one of the best places in Tanzania to see a high concentration of wildlife within a small area. During your Ngorongoro Crater game drive, you may encounter the Big Five, including the rare black rhino, as well as lions, buffalo, hippos, zebras, and wildebeest grazing on the crater floor. The crater also offers excellent birdwatching opportunities, with flamingos often seen around the soda lake. Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the crater surrounded by stunning landscapes and wildlife. In the afternoon, ascend the crater walls and begin your scenic drive back to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon where your Tanzania camping safari ends.
