Upon arrival, enjoy a scenic game drive through the park, which is famous for its unique tree-climbing lions that often rest on acacia branches. On your final day, enjoy a visit to the stunning Materuni Waterfalls, nestled on the lush slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro. Begin the day with a scenic drive to Materuni Village, located just outside Moshi, where your guided trek to the waterfalls starts. The walk takes you through beautiful coffee farms, banana plantations, and thick tropical forest, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and valleys. Along the way, your guide will share insights about local Chagga culture, traditional farming practices, and the importance of coffee production in the region.
As you continue the trek, the sound of rushing water grows louder until you reach the spectacular Materuni Waterfalls, cascading from a height of around 70–80 meters into a clear pool below. Surrounded by dense greenery and mist from the falling water, the site offers a refreshing and peaceful atmosphere.
