3-Day Bwindi Gorilla Trekking from Kigali - Rwanda

Pick up in Kigali City and Transfer to Bwindi Forest

After breakfast at your hotel in Kigali City of Rwanda or upon arrival at Kigali International Airport you will meet our representative – your private driver-guide, he will you about the safari and what to expect. Then go for a short Kigali City tour visiting the Kigali Genocide Memorial Site for an insight of the horrific 1994 Kigali Genocide among other sites.
Then embark on a journey north to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda, the drive is roughly 4 hours and you will cross the border at Katuna. All the journey you will enjoy beautiful of the lakes and impressive mountains that surround you, and also you will enjoy lunch along the way.
Arrive in the park in the evening, check in at your lodge and spend the rest of the day at rest as you prepare for the next day’s adventure.

Gorilla Trekking Experience in Bwindi Forest

Wake up early and enjoy a hearty breakfast at the lodge to fuel your energy for the anticipate adventure, with your packed lunch box, drive you to park headquarters where you will receive a comprehensive briefing by the park rangers about the gorillas
After briefing, you will be led by experienced park rangers and gorilla trackers and be assigned to a specific gorilla family/group to track. With armed rangers and guide, you will embark on an exclusive hiking experience into the impenetrable forest of Bwindi at around 8 am following mountain gorilla tracks. The duration for the trek depends on the movement of the gorillas and where they spent their previous, but once tracked, you will appreciate every step taken into the jungle.
While following the park ranger’s guidelines and rules shared earlier, you will have a full hour to observe gorillas up close and personal in their natural habitat and learn about their unimaginable fascinating lives.

Departure

After a leisurely breakfast, you will check out of your lodge and embark on a journey back to Kigali with border crossing at Katuna and en-route lunch. You will be dropped off at the airport for your flight back, bringing your safari to an end.
