Nairobi to Masai Mara National Reserve

Your adventure begins with a morning departure from Nairobi as you travel toward the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve. The scenic journey passes through the breathtaking Great Rift Valley, where you may stop briefly to admire the views and take photos. After arriving at your lodge, you will check in and enjoy lunch while relaxing after the drive.

In the afternoon, head out on your first exciting game drive across the vast savannah. The Masai Mara is home to remarkable wildlife including lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards, and rhinos. As the evening approaches, animals become more active, offering excellent opportunities for wildlife viewing and photography. After the game drive, return to the lodge for dinner and a restful overnight stay.

Full Day in Masai Mara National Reserve

Start your day with an early breakfast before heading into the reserve for a morning game drive. Early hours are one of the best times to observe wildlife as predators search for prey and herbivores graze across the plains. Keep your camera ready for sightings of lions, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and many species of birds.

Later, return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, continue exploring different parts of the reserve on another game drive. Depending on the time of year, you may witness the spectacular Great Migration, when thousands of wildebeest and zebras move across the plains. Dinner and overnight will be at the lodge.

Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, depart the Masai Mara and travel toward Lake Nakuru National Park. The journey offers changing landscapes as you move from open plains to wooded areas and lakeside scenery. Upon arrival, enjoy a game drive in the park, famous for its birdlife and rhino sanctuary.

Lake Nakuru is known for large numbers of flamingos along the shoreline as well as animals such as rhinos, buffalo, giraffes, and zebras. Scenic viewpoints provide excellent panoramic views of the lake and surrounding park. After exploring, continue to your accommodation near the park for dinner and overnight stay.
