Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, a Wildlife Journeys Africa Professional Tour Driver will receive and welcome you to Uganda – The Pearl of Africa. Thereafter, you will transfer to your booked hotel in Kampala, check in at your hotel and spend the rest of the day at rest.
Depending on your time of arrival, you may consider a Kampala City Tour, or just spend the rest of the day at relaxation.

Day 2

Transfer to Murchison Falls via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

Transfer to Murchison Falls via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

After an early breakfast, you will meet your guide and set off on a transfer to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for an on-foot rhino tracking experience. The excursion takes two hour starting with a briefing from the park ranger on the dos and the donts. Then, you will get into the amazing tracking experience looking for rhinos on foot.
After lunch, continue with the journey to Murchison Falls National Park – the second popular savannah park and largest park in Uganda with the roaring rapids of Murchison Falls and the rolling plains as the highlights.
Upon arrival in the park, you will just check into your lodge, relax and spend overnight.

Day 3

Morning Game Drive and afternoon boat cruise

After a delicious breakfast, you will depart for an early morning game drive across the rolling plains of Murchison Falls National Park. Be on a lookout for wildlife including lions, leopards, buffaloes, giraffes, warthogs among others. For any birder, there are quite a number of birds to see during the drive.
Return to the accommodation for some rest time and lunch.
After lunch, you will head out for the boat trip to the base of Murchison Falls where you will also be able to catch sight of more animals including Hippos and Crocodiles and serval water birds.

After breakfast, you will drive to the top of Murchison Falls to truly appreciate the beauty and magnificence of the Murchison Falls. From the top, we shall embark on a transfer to Kibale Forest National Park – the Primate Capital of Africa.
The drive is quite long, but incredibly scenic, passing through villages, lush green countryside and hills dotted with tea plantations that characterize this part of Uganda. This beautiful scenery will amaze you all the way. Upon arrival at the accommodation, check in and just relax.

Day 5

Chimpanzee Trekking and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Chimpanzee Trekking and Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Enjoy an early breakfast, meet your guide and head to the park headquarters for briefing about chimpanzee trekking, with your armed rangers and guide, head into the forest looking for the chimpanzees. The trek takes approximately 2 to 4 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas and where they spent their previous night.
Chimpanzees are very vocal primates and as you near to where they are, you will hear their barking and hoots. Spend one hour in their presence watching then feed, play, groom each other and pick fruits. You are freely to capture this incredible encounter with your camera and take as many photos and videos as possible.
Return to the park headquarters, meet your guide and return to your lodge for lunch, in the afternoon you will depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park arriving in the evening, check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Wake up early for breakfast and head to the Kasenyi Plains for a morning game drive, as you follow several trails you will see several animals including elephants, buffaloes, hippos, lions, leopards, Uganda kobs, waterbucks, warthogs and various primate species like baboons and colobus monkeys among others.
Return to your lodge for lunch and in the afternoon, go for a boat cruise on Kazinga Channel that connects Lake George and Edward. The boat cruise is a 2 hours excursion and during this trip you will see several animals including giant hippos, elephants and crocodiles among others. Also, you will see many varieties of birds at the shores. After the boat trip, you will proceed for a brief late afternoon game drive and thereafter, return to the lodge for an evening of rest, dinner and overnight stay.

Wake up to a mouthwatering breakfast, check out of your lodge with your packed lunch boxes and go for a game drive in the Ishasha Sector – popular for the rare tree climbing lions. Other animals you will see include elephants, buffaloes, and several bird species.
Continue with a journey to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park arriving in late afternoon, check in at your lodge and overnight.

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Forest

Wake up early for breakfast, meet your driver and head to the park headquarters for briefing about gorilla trekking. A senior ranger guide will take you through rules and regulations to follow while in the presence of the gorillas.
In groups of 8 people you will be assigned a gorilla family to trek, head into the forest in search for mountain gorillas. The trek takes approximately 2 to 6 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas and where they spent their previous night, upon locating these endangered primates, you will spend one hour in their presence watching them play, feed and groom. After this amazing experience, trek back to the park headquarters, meet your guide and return to the lodge for an evening of rest, dinner and overnight stay.

Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Enjoy breakfast, check out of your lodge and drive to the beautiful Lake Bunyonyi – the largest lake in Uganda and the second largest in Africa. Lake Bunyonyi is framed by lush, green-terraced hills that reach a height of 2,200 – 2,478m but its 29 islands of various shapes and sizes scattered across the water that make it most magical.
Arrive in time for lunch, check in at your lodge and have a moment of rest. There are several activities you will enjoy in the evening including boat cruise exploring the islands dotting the lake, swimming in the lake’s Bilharzia free waters among others.

Today is the last day of the 10 Days Uganda Safari, after breakfast you will check out of your lodge and embark on a journey back to Entebbe. A long the way you will have en-route lunch in Mbarara and a stopover at the Equator for pictures and a chance to stand in both Northern and Southern Hemisphere.
You will be dropped off at Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight back home.
