Your safari begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi as you travel toward the world-famous Maasai Mara National Reserve.

The drive takes you through the scenic Great Rift Valley where you will stop briefly at a viewpoint to enjoy panoramic views and take photos of the valley floor.

Continue through the Maasai countryside and arrive at your lodge or tented camp in time for lunch. After some relaxation, depart for your first afternoon game drive in the Maasai Mara.

The reserve is known for its vast savannah plains and incredible wildlife diversity. During the game drive you may see lions resting in the grasslands, elephants moving in family herds, giraffes browsing acacia trees, zebras grazing across the plains, and cheetahs scanning the landscape for prey.

Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Full Day Maasai Mara Safari – Great Migration Experience

After an early breakfast, depart with packed lunch for a full day wildlife safari in Maasai Mara National Reserve.

This is the best opportunity to explore deeper areas of the reserve, including the famous Mara River where the dramatic Great Migration river crossings often take place between July and October.

During the game drives you may witness massive herds of wildebeest and zebras migrating across the plains while predators such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards follow the herds.

Maasai Mara is also one of the few places where it is possible to see the Big Five animals in a single day, including lions, elephants, buffalo, leopards, and rhinos. You may also choose to visit a traditional Maasai village to learn about the culture, traditions, and lifestyle of the Maasai people.

Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Enjoy a short early morning game drive before breakfast, offering another opportunity to see predators active during sunrise.

After breakfast, check out and begin your journey toward Lake Nakuru National Park located in the Great Rift Valley.
Arrive in the afternoon and begin a game drive in Lake Nakuru, a park famous for its rhino conservation program and beautiful lake ecosystem.

During the safari you may see white and black rhinos grazing in the grasslands, Rothschild giraffes walking across the plains, lions resting under acacia trees, and buffalo herds near the lake shores. The park is also a paradise for bird lovers with flamingos and pelicans often forming spectacular pink lines along the lake edge.

After the game drive, proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Wake up early for a morning game drive exploring the park’s forests, rocky cliffs, and lakeshore plains.

Early mornings offer excellent wildlife photography opportunities. You may see flamingos feeding along the lake, rhinos grazing in open grasslands, lions resting on rocky outcrops, and waterbucks and baboons near the forest areas.

After breakfast at the lodge, check out and begin the drive back to Nairobi.

Enjoy the scenic journey through the Great Rift Valley and arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon, marking the end of your Kenya safari adventure.
