Transfer to Kibale National Park

Depart from Kampala early in the morning and enjoy a scenic drive through the lush Ugandan countryside toward Kibale National Park, known for its dense tropical forests and diverse wildlife. Along the way, admire rolling hills, tea plantations, and rural villages that showcase local life. Upon arrival, check in at your lodge and take some time to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Depending on your arrival time, you may explore the lodge trails or nearby forest paths, spotting birds and smaller primates. Start your day early with a briefing from experienced park rangers at Kibale National Park before venturing into the lush tropical forest in search of chimpanzees, our closest relatives. Trek through winding forest trails, listening to the sounds of the forest and spotting other primates and birds along the way. Once the chimpanzees are located, spend an unforgettable hour observing them up close as they feed, play, and interact in their natural habitat. After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch and a short rest. In the afternoon, visit Bigodi Wetlands Sanctuary, a rich habitat of birds, monkeys, and unique flora, where a guided walk offers insight into the local ecosystem and community conservation efforts. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay, reflecting on a full day of wildlife adventure and unforgettable chimpanzee encounters.

Nature walk and Return to Entebbe

On your final day, enjoy a relaxed morning at your lodge in Kibale National Park. Depending on your schedule, take an optional nature walk through the forest trails to spot monkeys, birds, and other wildlife you may have missed, or simply unwind and soak in the peaceful surroundings. After breakfast, check out from the lodge and begin your scenic drive back to Entebbe, passing through rolling hills, tea plantations, and charming rural communities. Optional stops can be made for photos or to stretch along the way. Arrive in Entebbe in the afternoon, concluding your memorable 3-day primate adventure in Uganda, filled with encounters with chimpanzees, rich forest ecosystems, and unforgettable wildlife experiences.
