0800 hrs Pick up from your hotel in Nairobi and drive to Amboseli National Park.
For the next few hours, we’ll pass local farms and you may spot Maasai herdsmen in their colorful shukas, tending to their flocks. Soon, rising in the distance like a welcoming beacon we’ll spot the towering form of Mt. Kilimanjaro.
Arriving at Amboseli, settle in and refresh at your safari lodge or tented camp. We’ll enjoy lunch and then afternoon at around 1600 hrs strike out to explore this popular park, with its great elephant herds and other big game.
Besides lion and leopard, we’ll be looking for Maasai giraffe, hyena, fox, jackal, monkey, gazelle, cheetah, and baboon. This smallish park is sparsely vegetated and that makes the animal spotting that much easier. You’ll appreciate how active and varied your sightings will be.
