Nairobi to Masai Mara

Your safari begins with a 7:30 am pickup from your Nairobi hotel or airport. Drive along the Great Rift Valley floor, stopping at the viewpoint for scenic photos. Arrive at Masai Mara National Reserve in the early afternoon. Check into your lodge or camp and enjoy a hot lunch. Rest and freshen up. At 4:00 pm, depart for your first game drive. Spot lions, elephants, giraffes, and possibly leopards on the rolling plains. Watch the savannah turn gold and orange as the sun sets. Return to camp, enjoy dinner under the stars, and overnight stay.

Full Day in Masai Mara

Rise early for a morning game drive when predators like lions, cheetahs, and hyenas are most active. Return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast. Between July and October, witness the Great Migration—millions of wildebeest and zebras crossing the Mara River, with crocodiles and big cats in pursuit. After a picnic lunch in the reserve, continue your afternoon game drive across the vast plains. Optionally, visit a local Maasai village to meet warriors, learn their ancient culture and traditions, and see their coexistence with wildlife. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Masai Mara to Nairobi

After breakfast at your camp, enjoy a cultural visit to a traditional Maasai village. Experience the rich heritage, customs, and daily life of the Maasai people, including traditional dances and homestead tours. Following the visit, depart by road back to Nairobi, enjoying scenic views of the Rift Valley along the way. Arrive in the late afternoon. You will be dropped off either at the airport for your onward flight or at your city hotel, marking the end of your unforgettable Masai Mara safari adventure.
