Into the wild- City Rhythm to Safari Stillness

Your safari begins upon arrival in Nairobi. You will be met and transferred to Wilson Airport for your scheduled scenic flight to the Maasai Mara. The scenic flight offers stunning aerial views of the Great Rift Valley and the sprawling savannah below. On landing at The Ol Kiombo airstrip, you’ll be met and transferred to Zebra Plains Mara Camp, your home in the wild. After settling in and enjoying lunch, the afternoon invites your first afternoon game drive in the Maasai Mara National Reserve. This introductory drive is a perfect opportunity to track the region's abundant wildlife and to let Mara reveal her wild secrets with the vast game. As the sun begins to set, you will return to the camp as dusk falls for dinner and your first night under the African sky.

A full day unfolds in the Mara, and it’s yours to savor. Morning and afternoon game drives take you deeper into this iconic ecosystem. Every turn brings a new encounter, cheetahs and lions, herds of wildebeest, zebras and elephants moving like a living tide, and giraffes silhouetted against the sky.

Somewhere between game drives, you’ll stop for a chilled, delicious packed lunch- right in the middle of the wild.

You will return to camp to relax, enjoy the views, and soak in the stillness that only the wild can offer. It’s a day that flows at nature’s pace; unhurried, unpredictable, and utterly captivating. Dinner will be enjoyed at the Camp; one more night under the African skies.

Farewell to the plains

After a final morning in the bush, perhaps a quiet breakfast overlooking the plains, you’ll transfer back to the airstrip for your flight to Nairobi. A transfer from Wilson Airport brings you back to the city, but not quite the same. You leave with dust on your shoes, stories in your pocket, and a quiet longing to return.
