Day 1

Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive north through the central highlands, passing Mount Kenya views and local towns en route to Samburu National Reserve. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge or camp. In the afternoon, head out for your first game drive in this semi-arid wilderness, home to unique species such as Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, and gerenuk. The Ewaso Nyiro River attracts a variety of wildlife including elephants, lions, and leopards. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
