After an early breakfast, you will head to Kinigi Park Headquarters for a briefing before embarking on the golden monkey tracking adventure. The trek begins at 7:00 am and takes you through dense bamboo forests, following your guide in search of these rare and playful primates.
The tracking typically lasts about 4 hours, including a 1-hour close encounter with the monkeys. Watch as they leap and roll on bamboo stems, their silver patches glinting in the sunlight — a sight that has been made possible through careful habituation.
After the trek, begin the drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, passing through the rolling, terraced hills of Kigezi, famously known as the “Switzerland of East Africa.” Check into your lodge in Rushaga, relax, and enjoy dinner while reflecting on the day’s wildlife encounters.

After an early breakfast, you will proceed to the briefing point for the highlight of your safari: gorilla trekking in Bwindi. Trek through the rainforest and bamboo-covered slopes, guided by experienced Uganda Wildlife Authority trackers, in search of a mountain gorilla family.
The trek can last 2–6 hours depending on the gorilla family’s location, with walks that can be challenging at times. However, the moment you encounter a magnificent silverback surrounded by its family, all fatigue and effort will melt away. A packed lunch is provided for your convenience.
After the trek, drive to Lake Bunyonyi, a serene highland lake dotted with over 25 islands. Optional activities include canoeing, swimming, hiking along the islands, and community walks to meet local residents while listening to exotic bird songs. In the evening, enjoy dinner and overnight at your lakeside lodge.

Arrive in Kigali in the late evening, where you will be dropped off at your hotel or the airport, concluding your unforgettable primate safari.
