Day 1
The Mokoro Experience
From the station, you board a Mokoro, a traditional dugout canoe, now often made of eco- friendly fiberglass, propelled by a local "poler" using a long wooden pole (ngashi). This silent mode of transport allows you to glide through narrow, reed-lined channels and shallow lagoons, offering a unique, water- level perspective of the ecosystem. You may spot tiny reed frogs, colorful birdlife, or larger animals like elephants and hippos at a safe distance.

* Guided Bush Walks: In the cooler late afternoon, a local guide leads a walking safari on the island, tracking wildlife like zebra, giraffe, or red lechwe antelopes.
* Sundowners and Dining: Evenings are spent around a campfire, where a chef prepares meals under the vast Milky Way.
