Upon arrival at Nairobi International Airport, you will be met by our representative, and after a short time to rest and have breakfast, you will drive to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, also known as Sweetwaters. You will check in at your lodge and have a hot lunch. In the afternoon, you will visit the park's famous chimpanzee sanctuary to meet its adopted residents face to face, and then proceed for an afternoon game drive in the conservancy.

Depart for Samburu National Reserve after breakfast, heading to the semi-desert northern frontier of Samburu. Check in at your hotel for lunch and then enjoy a thrilling afternoon game drive in the woodlands and open savannah areas of the Samburu plains in search of the Samburu Special Five. The rocky areas of Koitogor Hill provide a safe habitat for different bird species to thrive. Enjoy an evening sundowner in a scenic setting in the wild, with your favorite drink in hand as the gorgeous sunset unfolds right before your eyes.

An early morning sunrise with golden light along the Ewaso Ng’iro River and Buffalo Springs Circuit offers the best time to capture lions, cheetahs, and leopards on the move. The Ewaso Ng’iro River also attracts herds of elephants displaying fascinating behaviors, including mud bathing and swimming in the river during hot afternoons.
Enjoy a bush breakfast and then embark on a full-day game drive in the park with a packed lunch in hand, following elephants through the riverine forests and tracking the elusive wild dogs known to roam this reserve. Expect sightings of the Samburu Special Five, among other wildlife. This is also an also an ideal place for birdwatchers, with over 100 species. As the sun sets, the golden light transforms the rugged landscapes into a picture-perfect safari scene.

A morning game drive keeps your eyes fixed on the unique terrain, characterized by golden plains, cliffs, rocky outcrops, and hills that create scenic backdrops for landscape photos and desert-like scenes with wildlife silhouettes. Besides the Samburu Special Five in their natural habitat, it is also home to ground birds, colorful songbirds, raptors, and cliff-dwelling birds hidden in the rocky areas of the hills. You will return to your lodge for lunch and a short break. In the afternoon, you will take tribal walks with Samburu warriors, who will be happy to share their culture and lifestyle. Their iconic beadwork and colorful attire, along with their unique warrior ceremonies and traditional dances, add a profound dimension to your safari experience.

After an early morning breakfast, drive to the Masai Mara, Kenya’s premier wildlife park and home to the greatest concentration of game animals in the world. In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive in search of lions, cheetahs, elephants, buffalo, and other members of the Big Five, along with other animals. At sunset, visit a section of the Mara River, where you may see many hippos and crocodiles.

Begin with an early morning game drive in the park, then return to your camp for breakfast. After breakfast, go on a full-day game drive in the park with a packed lunch in hand, in search of its popular residents, including well-known predators and their prey, such as zebras, wildebeests, and giraffes. The vast, open grasslands of the Masai Mara, part of the Serengeti-Mara ecosystem, are home to over three million large mammals. This includes over 1.4 million wildebeests, which migrate each year in an enormous, struggling herd between the southern Serengeti and the northern Mara. In the evening, visit a Maasai village for a warm welcome with traditional dances, cultural tours, and insights into how the community coexists with wildlife in the Mara ecosystem. You will also meet local artisans and see their intricate handwork souvenirs, providing a memorable cultural experience, followed by a bush dinner.

Day 8

Early in the morning, you will be picked up from your camp for your hot air balloon safari, which lasts an hour, followed by a bush breakfast. Transfer to the airstrip for your flight from the Masai Mara to Nairobi, where you will go on excursions to the Giraffe Centre and Karen Blixen Museum. Enjoy dinner at the Carnivore Restaurant, and later transfer to the airport in time for your outbound flight to your next destination.
