Transfer from Arusha to Tarangire for Guided game Drive
Our safari guide, from our office, will pick you up from the hotel in Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park for the game drive for wildlife sighting while carrying lunch boxes. Once you finish the game drive, we will transfer you to the lodge, where you'll stop for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.
The Park is named after the Tarangire River, which runs through it. This ‘river of warthogs’ is the only source of water for wildlife in the region during the dry season. The park is well known for its elephant families, which can often be seen congregating by the river. You may also see giraffe, bushbuck, and hartebeest. These animals are closely followed by a range of predators, including lions and leopards. Lunch will be at a picnic site inside the Park.

Once you’ve had picnic lunch, you’ll set out on a game drive through the Ndutu region. From December to April, the vast herds of the wildebeest migration typically gather on these short-grass plains. Guided Game Drive in Ndutu Area Overnight - Ndutu
Guided Game Drive in Ndutu Area Overnight - Ndutu
After a hearty breakfast, we’ll set off for a full-day game drive in the Ndutu region. Our aim is to explore the diverse habitats found hereincluding swamps, woodlands, alkaline lakes, and the iconic Serengeti short-grass plains. This area offers remarkable wildlife encounters, especially the breathtaking sight of vast herds of wildebeest and zebra.
Around January, over a period of roughly three weeks, most wildebeest give birth, with nearly half a million calves arriving in an extraordinary display of synchronized calving. With little vegetation for cover, newborn calves are vulnerable but remarkably, they are able to run within minutes and typically keep pace with the herd within just a few days.
As the day’s adventures across the “Endless Plains” come to a close, we’ll return to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay.
