Day 2

After Breakfast we shall checkout and head to Mabamba Swamp. You’ll embark on a guided trip to the Mabamba Swamp, located about 50 minutes’ drive west of Entebbe on the shores of Lake Victoria.
Mabamba is one of the most important wetland birding sites in Uganda and is world-famous for the rare and iconic Shoebill Stork — often considered Uganda’s most sought-after bird. You’ll board a traditional canoe with a local guide to navigate through the narrow channels of papyrus reeds. Along the way, keep an eye out for other fascinating wetland species such as the Malachite Kingfisher, African Jacana, African Fish Eagle, and Papyrus Gonolek. The serene environment, mirrored waters, and abundance of birdlife make for a relaxing introduction to Uganda’s natural beauty. After we shall continue our journey to Lake Mburo NP stopping at the Equator point for Lunch and Photo opportunities at the 0 Latitude. We shall arrive at the lodge in the evening.

Day 3

Rise early for a sunrise game drive through Lake Mburo National Park, when wildlife is most active. As the first light filters through the acacia trees, you’ll explore the park’s open savannahs and woodlands in search of zebras, impalas, topis, elands, buffaloes, giraffes, waterbucks, and warthogs. Lake Mburo is also a birdwatcher’s paradise, with over 350 bird species including the African Finfoot, Bare-faced Go-away Bird, and Rufous-bellied Heron. The morning drive provides excellent photographic opportunities and a calm start to the day. Step out and embark on a walking safari with an armed ranger guide — a unique experience that allows you to connect closely with nature. Walking through the savannah gives you a chance to observe wildlife on foot, track animal prints, and learn about the park’s ecosystem, plants, and birdlife from your knowledgeable guide. After return to the lodge and checkout to proceed to Bwindi via Kabale. We shall arrive at our lodge in the evening.

After an early breakfast at Mulehe Safari Lodge, you’ll transfer to the Rushaga Sector of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
On arrival at the Uganda Wildlife Authority briefing center, you’ll be welcomed by the park rangers who will give you a detailed orientation about the gorilla tracking rules, and what to expect during the trek.
Bwindi is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You’ll begin your trek through the lush forest in search of your assigned gorilla family. The hike can take anywhere from 2 to 6 hours, depending on the gorillas’ movement. The terrain may be steep and muddy, but the experience is incredibly rewarding.
Once you locate the gorillas, you’ll spend one full hour observing them as they feed, groom, and interact in their natural habitat. Watching a silver back calmly watch over his family or seeing playful infants swing through the branches is an experience beyond words. There after visit the Batwa Community and Return to the Lodge for eveing relaxation.

After an early breakfast at Mulehe Safari Lodge, you’ll check out and begin your scenic journey north toward Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s most popular savannah reserve. The drive takes approximately 6–7 hours, winding through the beautiful hills of Kigezi and Ankole, with several interesting stops along the way. Upon arrival, you’ll enjoy a sunset game drive in the Kasenyi Plains — one of the best areas in the park for spotting big game. Expect to see large herds of Ugandan kob, elephants, buffaloes, and possibly lions stalking their prey in the golden evening light.
The Kasenyi area is also home to numerous bird species, including the Grey Crowned Crane, African Fish Eagle, and Long-crested Eagle. After your game drive, proceed to Acacia Wilderness Lodge, located on the park’s edge with sweeping views of the savannah. The lodge offers spacious cottages, delicious meals, and a relaxing atmosphere to unwind after the long journey. Enjoy dinner and relax at leisure.

Wake up early (around 5:30 AM) and set out for a sunrise game drive in the kasenyi plains, carrying your packed breakfast from the lodge. Early morning hours are ideal for wildlife viewing as predators are still active, and the cool air enhances visibility across the golden Savannah.
This area is one of the park’s most scenic and wildlife-rich sections, known for its high concentration of Ugandan kobs, which attract lions and leopards. You might also spot elephants, buffaloes, hyenas, giant forest hogs, and several bird species.
Take a mid-morning break to enjoy your packed breakfast under a shaded tree or viewpoint within the park, surrounded by the sounds of the wild. In the afternoon go on a boat cruise along the Kazinga channel, which connects Lake George and Lake Edward. This 2-hour cruise offers close-up views of hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and numerous waterbirds such as African Skimmers, Pelicans, and Cormorants lining the shores.

After an early breakfast at Acacia Wilderness Lodge, check out and begin your journey north toward Kibale National Park, a lush rainforest famous for its population of chimpanzees and 12 other primate species. The drive takes approximately 5–6 hours, with enriching cultural and scenic stops along the way. You’ll stop at the Equator Monument in Kikorongo, located along the Kasese–Fort Portal road. Continue through Kasese Town, nestled in the foothills of the Rwenzori Mountains, also known as the Mountains of the Moon. Stop briefly at a viewpoint to admire the dramatic peaks — often mist-shrouded — and learn about this UNESCO World Heritage mountain range. Next, you’ll visit the Rubalika Community, located between Kasese and Fort Portal. This immersive community experience offers a chance to engage directly with local people and learn about their way of life. After lunch, continue your journey toward Kibale NP, passing through the crater lakes region arriving at your lodge in the evening.

Wake up early and enjoy breakfast at your lodge before transferring to the Kanyanchu Visitor Centre, the starting point for your chimpanzee tracking adventure in Kibale National Park.
Upon arrival, you’ll attend a short briefing session by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers, who will explain the dos and don’ts of tracking and how to behave when you encounter the chimpanzees.
Then, set off into the lush tropical forest, accompanied by your ranger guide and trackers. Kibale Forest is often referred to as the “Primate Capital of the World” — it hosts over 1,400 chimpanzees and 12 other primate species, including red-tailed monkeys, black-and-white colobus, L’Hoest’s monkeys, and olive baboons. Day 9

After an early breakfast at Kibale Guest Cottages, you’ll check out and begin your long but scenic journey north to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest and oldest conservation area. Your first stop is Fort Portal, often called the Tourism City of Uganda thanks to its clean streets and stunning backdrop of the Rwenzori Mountains. You will visit the tooro palace and learn about the culture of the people here. Continue your journey toward northern Uganda, stopping for lunch in Hoima, the bustling oil city of western Uganda. After lunch, proceed through Masindi. You’ll arrive at the southern gate (Kichumbanyobo) or eastern gate (Bugungu) of Murchison Falls National Park in the late afternoon. Once inside, the landscape opens up into sweeping grasslands dotted with Borassus palms — a completely different ecosystem from the forests of Kibale. Enjoy a short evening game drive as you make your way toward Paraa Safari Lodge. Arrive at Lodge, perched above the Nile River.

Day 10

Wake up early for a sunrise game drive, starting around 6:00 AM, when wildlife is most active. The drive covers the northern savannah and southern plains of the park, where herds of elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, kob, waterbuck, hartebeest, and occasionally lions or leopards can be spotted.
Your guide will point out animal tracks, explain behaviors, and share insights into the park’s rich ecosystems. Early morning is also perfect for birdwatching, with species like the Black-bellied Bustard, African Fish Eagle, and Great Blue Turaco often seen along the savannah and riverbanks. Return to Paraa Safari Lodge for a relaxing lunch, and perhaps a short rest. After lunch, embark on a Marasa Nile Boat Cruise along the Victoria Nile, heading toward the base of Murchison Falls. The highlight is reaching the base of Murchison Falls, where the Nile squeezes through a narrow gorge and plunges 43 meters with tremendous power. After the Cruise return to the lodge and enjoy the pool views.

On the way we shall drive to the top of Murcshion Falls, where you’ll witness the full force of the Nile plunging 43 meters into the gorge, creating thunderous spray and spectacular rainbows. Hike around the Falls as your guide explains the geology of the falls, local myths, and the wildlife that inhabits the cliffs and riverbanks below. After the hike, continue to Chobe Safari Lodge for a relaxing afternoon. The lodge offers comfortable accommodations, a pool overlooking the Nile, and tranquil surroundings perfect for unwinding after the adventure.

Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary is the only place in Uganda to see white rhinos in the wild, established to reintroduce rhinos to Uganda after they were hunted to extinction decades ago. Upon arrival, embark on a guided rhino trekking experience within the sanctuary. • The trek is led by professional rangers who track the rhinos on foot in a safe but immersive manner.
