Your safari begins with a morning flight from Zanzibar to the world-famous Serengeti National Park, offering breathtaking aerial views of Tanzania’s landscapes from the coastline to the vast savannah plains. Upon arrival at Seronera airstrip, you will be warmly welcomed by your expert safari guide and immediately begin your first game drive. The central Serengeti is rich in wildlife year-round, giving you high chances of spotting lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras and possibly cheetahs. In the evening, enjoy a magical sunset in the wild, followed by dinner and overnight at your luxury lodge/ camp.

Full-day Serengeti National Park Exploration

Start your day early with sunrise game drives, the best time to witness predators such as lions and leopards in action. The golden morning light also creates perfect photography conditions. After breakfast, continue exploring the endless plains of Serengeti, famous for its incredible wildlife density and Great Migration. Your guide will tailor the game drive based on animal movements to maximize sightings.
You may choose an optional hot air balloon safari, where you float above the plains at dawn followed by a champagne bush breakfast. In the afternoon, enjoy a relaxed game drive or a scenic picnic in the wilderness before returning to your lodge/camp.

Serengeti – Ngorongoro Highlands

After breakfast, enjoy a final game drive in the Serengeti as you slowly make your way toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The journey offers scenic transions -from open plains to lush highlands. Along the way, you may still encounter wildlife, including elephants and Maasai herders with their cattle. Arrive in the crater rim in the afternoon, where you will check into your Lodge overlooking the spectacular Ngorongoro crater. In the evening relax and take in the breathtaking views.

Ngorongoro Crater Tour then back to Zanzibar

On the final day of your safari, you will begin with an early start. After breakfast around 7:00 AM, you will descend into the floor of the Ngorongoro Crater, taking your packed lunch with you to fully immerse yourself in the magic of this stunning caldera. Throughout the day, you’ll be captivated by the incredible beauty of the Ngorongoro Crater, where a diverse array of wildlife gathers, offering an unforgettable experience. You will enjoy lunch at a picnic site near one of the hippo swamps within the crater. Afterward, you will continue your game drive, gradually making your way out of the crater towards the exit gate. In the late afternoon, you will begin your drive back to JRO/ARK, with an estimated journey time of about 4-5 hours, for departure.
