After introductions, you embark on a scenic drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park in southwestern Uganda—an estimated 9-hour journey through rolling hills, terraced farms, and vibrant rural landscapes. Along the way, you’ll stop for lunch and photo opportunities as you cross the equator and pass through towns rich in culture and tradition. Upon arrival at your lodge tucked within the forest, you’ll check in, unwind, and enjoy a hearty dinner surrounded by the sounds of chirping birds and rustling leaves.

Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Forest

Wake up to the soothing sounds of the forest and enjoy a nourishing breakfast before heading out with your packed lunch for the day’s highlight: the gorilla trek. Arriving at the Uganda Wildlife Authority headquarters, you'll be welcomed by rangers and guides who will brief you on gorilla trekking etiquette and assign you to a specific gorilla family group.
With your camera gear ready, you’ll set off into the dense, mountainous jungle, guided by expert trackers. The trek can take anywhere from 2 to 6 hours, depending on the gorillas’ movements—but every step offers a chance to photograph incredible scenery, birds, butterflies, and other primates. Once you locate the gorilla family, you’ll spend one awe-inspiring hour observing and photographing them as they go about their daily routines—feeding, nurturing their young, playing, and resting.

Return to Entebbe – End of Safari

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast surrounded by misty views of the forest canopy. After checking out, begin your return drive to Entebbe, passing through the picturesque countryside of southwestern Uganda. Along the way, you may stop to interact with local communities, visit craft markets, or simply take in the stunning landscapes.
By late afternoon or early evening, you’ll arrive in Entebbe and be transferred to the airport for your international flight, bringing your gorilla trekking photo safari to a close—with unforgettable memories and images to cherish for a lifetime.
