Day 1

Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve

Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve

You will be picked from Nairobi and depart for Samburu at 6.00 am. This will be a 6-hour drive with a stopover at Equator Nanyuki, where you can also be able to see snow-capped Mount Kenya if weather permits in the morning.
Later arrive at your lodge just in time for check-in and lunch.

With an open roof vehicle embark on your first game drive in the afternoon with a chance to spot the Grevy zebras, reticulated giraffes, gerenuks, Beisa oryx and Somali ostrich, elephants, lion, leopard, and cheetahs.

Later in the evening, you'll drive back to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Samburu Game Drives

After breakfast, you'll have a morning game drive then come back for lunch later. Possible sightings of unique wildlife species like oryx, gerenuk, Gravy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, and other wild animals’ peculiar to this semi-arid region.
Your game drives will be along the Ewaso Nyiro River where most of the wild animals are found.

Afternoon game drives after lunch will be able to watch different species of birds found in the reserve, return to the lodge for
delightful dinner and spend another night at the lodge, immersing yourself in the enchanting ambiance of the reserve.

Start your day with a breakfast, check-out then an en-route game drive at Buffalo Springs National Reserve for Nanyuki Ol Pejeta Conservancy, arrive in time for lunch and check-in in the afternoon. Mount Kenya may also be seen from your lodge if weather permits.

You will have all afternoon at the lodge, take time for swimming or relaxing in your room, later you will have dinner.

Last day of your tour start with breakfast at your lodge then morning game drive at Ol-Pejeta Conservancy. Ol Pejeta is the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa, and home to two of the world’s last remaining northern white rhinos. It is also the only place in Kenya to see chimpanzees.

Exit Ol Pejeta Conservancy for drop off Nairobi in the afternoon, this marks the end of 4 days Safari for Northern Kenya.
