3-Day Samburu Adventure (Eco-Lodge Experience)

Nairobi to Samburu National Reserve

You'll depart Nairobi early in the morning and begin the journey to Samburu National Reserve. You will have a stopover at Nanyuki town, right at the equator crossing. There is a big sign/marker, where you will have opportunities to take photos.

On a clear day, you'll also be able to view Mount Kenya.

The journey to Samburu continues. Upon arrival, you will check in, have lunch, and then proceed for an afternoon game viewing in the game reserve.

Dinner and overnight stay at your camp/lodge.

Enjoy a full day of game viewing in Samburu National Reserve.

Look out for "Samburu Special Five"—the Grevy's zebra, Reticulated giraffe, Gerenuk, Beisa Oryx, and Somali ostrich—which cannot be found together elsewhere in the world.

The reserve also offers stunning semi-arid landscapes with the Ewaso Nyiro River, abundant wildlife including elephants, big cats, buffaloes, and birdlife.

The eco-friendly Ashnil Samburu Camp offers views of the Ewaso Nyiro River and the savannah, as well as a very comfortable & enjoyable stay in a serene environment.

Optional activity: Sundowner after the afternoon game drive. This activity is available at an extra cost. Sundowner experience: a bonfire is lit, snacks and drinks are served as you observe the sun set yonder.

Option 1: Enjoy an early morning game drive. After breakfast, begin the journey to Nairobi, where this amazing adventurous safari ends.

Option 2: Enjoy a leisurely breakfast, check out and begin the journey to Nairobi. You will be dropped off at your preferred destination, marking the end of this amazing adventurous safari.

Other optional activities/extras: Samburu cultural visit at an extra cost. The Samburu community has a deep connection to the land, which is reflected in their colorful attire, cattle-based economy, and traditional ceremonies.
